A leading diagnostic laboratory network relied on manual pathology report distribution, resulting in delayed report delivery, inconsistent document management, and increased administrative effort. The new solution needed to automate pathology report generation, securely deliver reports to individual patient accounts, enforce role-based permissions, and support high-volume report processing while minimizing manual intervention.
Our Strategic Approach
Softree developed a SharePoint Framework (SPFx) solution integrated with Microsoft Graph API to automate pathology report generation and secure document delivery. The solution included custom SPFx web parts, SharePoint document libraries with permission-based access, automated report generation workflows, and end-to-end integration with Microsoft 365.
Quality assurance focused on validating frontend functionality, Microsoft Graph API integrations, report generation workflows, role-based permissions, cross-browser compatibility, security, and regression testing. A critical authorization defect identified during API testing was resolved before deployment, ensuring secure patient access to confidential reports.
